Ok I've got some weird noises coming from my car lately.
First the transmission whines when accelerating then clears up in higher rpms.
There is also a rattle tends to show up from time to time especially if my fans are on it also sounds like gravel being tumbled over in a coffee can when the car shuts off instead of the psh noise the intake used to make.

I figured I would ask on here before i throw away all my pride and ask my father about it. I plan on replacing the clutch this summer if that has something to do with the whining. Its had the same clutch for going on 8 years and i drive it pretty hard from time to time. It slips pretty good when i get on it now. Also I thought about it being the passenger side front wheel bearing because that is the only one i have yet to replace after my wreck last spring.
Any ideas?

anything can rattle when you turn the car off. the whole engine shakes so its pretty common. the trans usually starts whining when the fluid pump is ready to take a crap. so you may need a new trans soon, esp if its slipping already.

I should probably change the transmission fluid and see if that helps, its overdue.
