Cannot get catalytic convertor nuts off.

I have a cat back exhaust waiting to be installed. But the dang nuts are sooooo rusted that I can't even grab hold of them with anything. I even tried the special craftsman sockets. I don't think the bolts are removable. but If i can't get the nuts off i'm gunna have to cut them and drill them out I guess. Unless you guys have some more options. and don't say take it to a shop. I can't grab hold of whats left of the nut with anything. They are like fused together.

Please help

Use liquid wrench. Let it settle. Use a breaker bar and the appropriate socket size. If this does not work, you can try to cut a notch in the bolt, and "knock" it loose with a hammer and a screwdriver / chisel.

if you have an ex, take off the cat pipe. It's easy. Then you can have good access to those bolts when it's off the car.

either cut the nut in half and chissel it out or use a torch to heat it up, loosen it.
