Tranny problem?!Or steering...?!Help pls

When I drive my '02 Civic Dx at above 35mph I feel unpleasant push(like a late gear shift) and steering wheel become uncontrollable for a sec. What a hell is that? I did alignment month ago, no leaks, mechanic told me there is nothing wrong with the steering. Tranny maybe? But what can it be?
