Funny noise when making a right turn
Funny noise when making a right turn
Sup People,
Running into a little issue for a couple of weeks now, Everytime i make a turn right my car makes a wierd rubbing noise happens, sounds like its some what from the back, so i notice i was getting crazy camber wear on the two fronts tires, so i replace all 4 of tires with new one and i got my wheels re aline, thinking that was going to solve the problem but it didnt it just made the noise a little less, running on stock ex wheels , 185/65/15, hopefully someone can help me out, its only when i make a turn right or even give it a littke nudge to the right it happens.

Re: Funny noise when making a right turn
maybe check your wheel bearings. i had one of mine go out a while back and it had caused the wheel to camber back and forth on its own quite a bit. yet i still have some clicking sort of noise when i turn right also.
Re: Funny noise when making a right turn
i'm on stock hieght,,, not lower or anything ,, i empty my trunk .. still making that rubbing sounds... its comming for the back... rear right side, but when i brake when turning the noise is not as loud,, dont know if that makes sense or not, and if i come to a full stop and make a right turn the noise doesnt happen..
Re: Funny noise when making a right turn
does sound like a wheel bearing to me. ive had plenty of friends who've i've had to fix. before you actually get a new one, take the wheel bearing out. wipe off all the grease and see if there are any flat spots or if there are any scratches on the bearings themselves... if there are no scratches or flat spots, you can try to repack the bearing and see if the noise goes away or if the sound gets quieter.. if it doesnt go away but gets quieter i myself would replace it... if it gets quieter then you have found your problem.

Re: Funny noise when making a right turn
good to hear its the wheel bearing instead of anything extremely expensive... if there isnt a DIY on the wheel bearing... while your at car is at the shop you could watch and take some pictures and put some narrations with it to come up with a DIY for us
