Crankshaft Position Sensor

So my car has been running weird lately, and the engine light is on. I got it checked and its pulling up code P0335, which is the crankshaft position sensor. I got an estimate today and they wanted $300 to replace the senor including labor of course. Im a college student and dont have that type of money readily available. But I got a buddy that is willing to help me replace it. So do you all know any information on it? How hard replacing the sensor would be? How much time? Or could you all tell me the directions to doing it? Thanks so much guys!

Re: Crankshaft Position Sensor

you have to follow the procedure of replacing the timing belt to replace the crank sensor. In order to get to it, you need to remove the belts, harmonic balancer, motor mounts and the plastic cover. then you can get to the sensor, since you'll be pulling all this stuff apart to get to the sensor, you might as well replace the timing belt too since its fairly cheap and it involves one more step.
