got into a really bad accident with my 2002 em2 ex.
it suck cuz i dont have full coverage.
i wonder wants is the estimate to fix this.
the car get no power atm. it was leaking fuild.
front end gone. big frame damage.
not sure if engine or tranny still good.
front upper frame almost or barely touch the block.
when i got in the accident both air bag deplyed n its smell like something was burning.
well as u can see by the pic its a major collision.
anyone got any ideas on repair cost?

all that damage + airbags, its gone. usually airbags deploying means its totaled and not worth fixing for prolly $10k or more. will never drive the same anyway. start looking for another car and glad you survived.

I know about the airbag smell, when mine came out it actually caught my shirt on fire.....well singed it. That stuff stinks. But ya, frame damage = cheaper to buy another car.

used cars are pretty cheap these days and you could find something nice for 5-6k. depends on how much you have to spend.

FD rx7 twin turbo? those things are off the hook...but prices are off the charts... it'll probably cost u a couple times the money to get the rx7 than to get the em2 again... unless of course u got hook ups... but good to see you're okay man. and from the looks of it... no doubt its totaled

when you dont have full coverage insurance that means that they wont pay for your car right. if thats the case i dont even know if thats worth fixing since its a 02 because now a days you can get one for like 5000.

Cant tell anything from the picture except that you need new fenders, hood, bumper and front cross member. That part of the frame is replaceable, the real frame is under the car- if that has damage, then its pretty ****ed. Lift up hood and take a few clear pictures.

RX-7 twinnie = fragile pos imho, used to smoke 'em all the time in SCCA stuff with a triple-Solexed 260Z (although it had a rather healthy NISMO'D 3.1 stroker motor, coilovers, 9.5's, etc. muahaha). I had an 'early' late-style RX and HATED that temperamental beast.

Personally I'd opt for a well set-up S2000 on bang-for-the-buck ratio, just keep the thing bouncing off the limiter bike-style & they can be pretty darned quick.

Regardless, glad you're ok & good luck finding something you like

yeah car is pretty f***ed i still have it i'll let u get know what i do with it. if i decide not to fix it i part it out or sell as is. i think the enigne n tranny stillgood cuz the frame isn't touching the block just came close. pretty much frame, bumper, fender, radiator, ect for front. then air bag replacement n dash inside. hahaha go racer status no air bags hahaha. thinking weather to pay to get it fix later down the road? not sure but yeah thanks guys.mean maybe i should go k20 hahahha. i'll keep u guys up dated. oh n the pics thing i dont really want to move anything yet kinda depressing to see my baby go. nah i'mtoobroke probably get whateva that runs.iuse up allmy money to get my mom a place. n man i'm only 20 money hard to get n in debt. probably end upwith some junk s*** unless my girl buys me a car

Totalled. If you don't have any collision coverage, get the car and part it out. Start looking for good used cars. Catalytic converter should be worth money in metals for sure. Anyone know the prices they pay for scrap steel nowadays?

heys guys 2k2_em2 is back sorry i been mia been fixing the em2 i should have it back all in one piece by this month. i'm start modding it back hope to hit the socal diego meet with my brother and his 6thgenaccord.com buddies. thanks for all the help guys. i'm located in pomona if anyone lives close by and i have my car back i would love to kick it
