closing power windows slow/seize

Power windows on my '01 Civic were useless - it could take up to one minute to close them when it was raining, and required manual assistance (pulling the window up with one hand) when it was below -10 deg Celcius!!! they wouldn't budge by themselves.

Honda has a bulletin out for this problem.

My dealer replaced the window sashes (?) inside both front doors and the windows are no longer seizing or slow to close.

1 point for Honda!

My windows are "slow" but they are normal speed i'm pretty sure.

I'm gonna get them a little more juice to the controller so I can speed em up......

Im also gonna install the DEI controller for auto window rollup/down for all the windows...(Sedan)

yeah the Power windows on my car are some of the most hated things on my car, I thought it may be my tint or something but guess not after hearing stuff about the power windows. But yeah I don't remember how fast they rolled down new, so they may be getting slower I have no clue.

Love warranty so if they get worse I will take it in,

Nick

Honda and window problems stem back to the 1989 accord and possibly earlier, that is just the earliest car I can locate with the same problems. the winter and the rain both make the motor almost useless. the problem is somewhat resolved in our civics, (they work better than the 94-97 Accords), but there is still some lag... thank god for the warranty. One more thing though after the warranty ends the problem often persists so that is the one downpoint guys. Just another thing we give up for honda reliability....
