slipping above 6k rpms

okay this problem isnt going away, i thought it just happened a few times and thats it, now it always does. whenever i get to 6k rpms, i feel like the engine is pulsing back and forth, it almost feels like the rev limiter is at 6k instead of 6.8 so idk. also its only happening in second switching to third gear, which is making me think the tranny is to blame. is the gear just not catching because there is way too much torque (95wtq)? if i dont floor it and just get around 5.5k rpm, the shift is fast and smooth. i read through some old post and it kinda resembles what the turbo guys were getting with their boosted autos. so i guess im screwed and the tranny cant handle this torque monster of a stock civic. hmm, i guess rebuild is coming sooner than i thought.
