My left rear suspension is squeaking. When i press down on the trunk lid i can hear a 'clunk clunk' noise on the left side. It sounds as if some parts need to be greased up. Any idea what the problem is or how can it be solved?

My car is completely stock, no mods.

You may have a leaking strut. Does it make sounds also when you go over bumps?

Yes, it makes the same noise when going over bumps. It sounds as if someone is jumping over an old rusty spring bed.

Yup, that's a very good description of that sound, cuz I had that sound too, coming from my front left strut, which was leaking.

So I'm pretty sure you have a leaking strut too. Not that serious of a problem, cuz yours is on the back, but you'll have to get it replaced eventually. And it should be covered by your warranty.

I drove around on my leaking strut for 5000 km, cuz Honda didn't have anymore in stock. Had to wait 5 weeks.

i have the same problem with front right suspension.


I brought it to the dealership and they told my front right suspension was leaking but it was on warranty so they changed it. But now it is doing again the same thing and I'm pretty tired of it.
