d17-d16z parts questions

I can not find head studs or gasket for a d17.I read that I can use d16z head gasket and studs on a d17. Is this true? I f so what thickness would be best? I have the TSI T20 running 9lbs on my car now. Thanks for the help. Oh one other thing I wanted to get a block guard is it true they can cause the car to overheat on hot days?

i beleave yes you can use the d16z head studs, but would call arp just to be sure. i called them about a year ago and asked but dont remmber. call them on that. dealer as the head gaskets. use a ml head gasket not the paprer one or you will be replacing them alot. as far as a block gaurd save you money and have it slived. ERL just finished there first d17 slive job and it turned out great. but thats just my .02

You can use the D16Z head studs for sure, but I don't think you can use the head gasket.
