I have noticed for a few months that if I accel I can hear something click in the engine bay. I am not sure what it is but it will click once when I accel and if I left off the pedal then it will click again. Also when I go into reverse I hear it click once sometimes. It doesn't always happen. I think it has something to do with the way I accel to make the click. I have a feeling it may have something to do with the throttle body. Any Ideas?

I would think CV joints have to deal more with clicking when turning the wheel. This is one click (or maybe clank would be a better word) when i accel and when I left off the pedal I hear another clank.

This is true but when the CV's are too gone they will CLANK when you go strait then whe you stop. Also when you reverse and then stop. Just like U joints in a truck.

All you have are "Front Ones".

I don't know the cost, call your local auto parts store or do some searching.
I do know that the cv's for my accord cost about 60 or so apiece. If I install them. They are not that bad to install.

hmm... i think i have the same problem in my 04...
i didnt think it was the cv joints because i had a 95 civic with bad cv joints and the sound is not the same... but then again i think it is because this happens when i accel and turn.. and the olny thing i can think of is that boot popping

usually a noise on accel and then on decel it's either a tranny or motor mount. shouldn't happen with newer cars but it's possible.

check cables and check mounts if you can have someone else sit in the car and rev it while you locate the source of the noise

Does anyone think it may have something to do with the throttle plate? I had a feeling that maybe it is dirty and getting a little stuck which would cause the click noise. Like I said it doesn't always make this noise every time and the engine mounts to be bad sounds strange to me. Could be a possibility.

Ok Check your motor mounts I have the same thing going on in my car right now and its both, my motor mounts and torque Damper. I took it to AAA and they they ran the diagnosis for me.

I don't know how most things work, but I had the same problem. I looked around made a thread too was told what may be wrong and took it in, and in fact what I was told was the problem. So I decided to help this guy. I learned something new so stop being an *** to me.
