revo short shifter
revo short shifter
hey guys, i just ordered my revo short shifter for my 02 lx 5spd..all the threads talk about ordering greys kit and capyodas bushings..what happens if i dont put in these parts..what do they do anyway, just strenghten the short shifter? will i be fine if i just use the revo ss without these parts?

Grey's kit reduces the amount of side-to-side play in the cable mount point on the shifter and it also stops a rattle that comes from the clip on your main cable where it attaches to the shifter base. Well worth the 7 bucks or whatever he sells them for.
I would also recommend the shifter bushing upgrade. Whether you get capyoda's or the one's I bought (check the DIY in my sig), it makes the Revo 10 times better. I drove with the stockers for about 6 months and could really tell a difference when I swapped them for the aluminum ones.
I know its extra money, but so far (the turbo stuff doesn't count) those three things (SS, fixer kit, and bushings) have been one of the best upgrades I've done to the car.
