i have adjusted my valves twice now but it still ticks. now i know that vtec engines should tick.... thats normal. This noise just started happening about a week ago. its noticeable at idle and when you rev the rpm's up the noise gets louder. either i didnt adjust the valves right or something else is wrong.

Also when i turn corners at times it sounds like something is clunking and reverse makes a funny noise. I know my input shaft bearing is shot, it has been for awhile now. Could that be causing all of my problems that i'm hearing. They just started happening recently.

Any help would be awesome. When they say you should feel asilght amount of drag or until it "grabs" the feeler gauge, just exactly how much drag should their be?

auto tranny? How many miles?

My oppinion,

bad CV's is the "ticking" your discribing when turning I think.

a "low" tick is normal. But what you discribe sounds like more to me...

manual tranny with 85,000 miles on it. i think the tick that im hearing as to do with the valve clearance. maybe i didn't adjust them right or their too tight or lose no idea. ill check on the CV's though. thanks
