fustrated please help me b4 i drive off a cliff
Ill start this off by teling you that my car has been to the dealer, local mechanics, department store mechanics and myself and friends who have been doing this sort of thing for quite a while, and the problem not only has not been fixed, but cannot be diagnosed.
When in first gear, from a dead stop, as soon as the clutch is let out, thier is a progressivly louder *click*. This si loader in the way that this has been happening for almost 1 1/2 yrs, started faily silent and bearly audible, now loud enough to hear it accross the street over my exhaust.
When the clutch is let out, the clicking my hapen once, twice, or 4 times, depending upon what the click is feeling liek today....
I have checked the axels and joints, perfectly tight, no play, no leaks, no tears.... mint!
I have tightened the subframe.....
I have had the transmission rebuilt way back when this started and replaced the ALL the tranny bearings [incuding throwout and whatnot...]
I have checked the suspension with a fine tooth comb, tightening eveything and making sure thier is nothing "out of place" like.
I am open to any new idea, previous experinces or comments.... i dont think this is life threatning but i am going to be boosting my car in about 3-4 weeks and wanna make sure im not going to wreck something by just letting this fly..... help guys

Re: fustrated please help me b4 i drive off a cliff
lol, closest i cn tell is from under the front of the car HAHA, not really tho seriously, ive been trying to find this noise for quite a while and still no luck.... i was thinking maybe a pressure plate, somethign to dow itht hte clutch/flywheel, maybe struts, diff... i dunno
Re: fustrated please help me b4 i drive off a cliff
yea that was my next step, tear down tranny and replace clutch and flywheel, but b4 i did that i wanted to see if thiers any other ideas cuz i dont think my cluthc needs to be replaced yet
Re: fustrated please help me b4 i drive off a cliff
i am thinking cracked pressure plate, if not its the flywheel. A cracked fly wheel under strain does cause clicking noises....but can not be sure. do this, put car in park, get under the hood and slowly raise the engine rpm. if u still hear the noise it is probably ur flywheel unless u got a flywheel that is mounted on the tranny side itself. good luck? thats all i can think of.
