Post Grinding noise....

I have a (sounds like grinding) noise coming from where the cam gear is. The black covering on the right side of the engine. I hear it when I'm idle, and then when I barely push on the gas as I'm going at whatever speed. What could this be? What could have caused this? Is it possible oil isn't getting up to lube the part(s)?

Please state how many KMs and what year, etc. your car is...

If you have high mileage you may need to get your valves re-aligned... unless you are also experiencing other problems besides noise.

It's a 2001 ... 35k. To better describe the noise... when I'm going a steady speed and wish to maintain it, I push just slightly on the gas to keep the speed and then you hear it. when you give it more to accelerate, then you don't hear it. Also on idles as I stated before.
