Just wanted to double check with you guys but,

My driver side door lock wont do anything.

I press it down with my finger and it wont lock...

even when I use my remote.

is it the lock assembly or just the actuator???

well the actuator is part of the lock assembly, so either way if you order a new lock assembly, you get that with a actuator.

drivers side door lock will lock if you pull out the handle while pushing it down, its a safety feature, but i have the same problem on my 02 coupe, i think its the actuator, as far as pulling off the door panel, there is a removable panel under the handle that pops off, revealing two screws to get the door panel off

I the entire door pannal just barly hanging the only thing keeping that is left attached is the door "handle" and the "bar" or "rod" is connected to it.

How do I get the door handle off? After I remove the two screws it still connected to the door by a rod?

pull the panel off that is behind the actual handle, there should be a small panel that hides a screw, and then it should pull through the door panel

I also cant find the screw behind the door?

I just have the pannal hanging and the only thing holding it there is the handle.

As per the Service Manual: remove the small panel behind the handle and the 2 hidden screws, pull the inner handle forward and out half way, then disconnect the inner handle rod and power lock switch connector.

if the only thing holding the panel is the handle, remove the handle. a little clip holds the rod to the handle.

the clips are the part I cant remove,

But I will try again this weekend.
