check engine light blinking 5 times?

check engine light blinking 5 times?
when i turn the igniton on the ceheck engine light turn on for 20 seconds then blinks 5 times. what does this mean?

he says check engine light. it flashes 5 times when there is a trouble code stored in the ecu. hook up a code reader and find out whats wrong.

it does, when the engine is running. when you just turn on the car (not start motor), it stays lit for 20 secs, then blinks 5 times, and turns off.
