Bunch of questions...plz help...
Bunch of questions...plz help...
I got a few questions for you guys and I would appreciate any help I can get...
First off, long story short, I bought my civic wrecked and last year my brother put it in the ditch, so is this a big deal?

If you don't know where that is, you prolly shouldn't be giving me any feedback. Would a strut tower brace help at all or should I just not worry about it? It's been cracked as long as I can remember but I think it got worse after my bro ditched it, otherwise no change.
Second, possibly related to the buying the car wrecked, my exhaust hangs WAY low and I don't think I've seen any other 7thgen like it. So is it normal that the pipe between the cat and the axel (STOCK EXHAUST) hangs an inch or two under the car? It rubs when driving up my (gravel) driveway and there are some dents in it from hitting rocks.....I'm not sure if you can tell in the pic but.....

Third, I got my wheels from my cousin and don't really know a lot about them and have never heard of the brand (they were free, can't complain). Anyway, they are 17" and I am assuming 7", they have 205/40 tires (Wanli--never heard of them either) but there is A LOT of gap from the tire to the lip. Is this normal, I know it used to be "in" but there are a lot of chips and scraches from him hitting curbs and stuff. My main question is, will 215's be wide enough to cover it up or is it just the way the rim is? (Ill try to get a better pic in a bit...)

Last, what do people do about the height difference on the passenger side of the car? I'm dropped on Eibach Sportlines and have the same problem most others have with it sitting high on the right side, is there anything anyone has done to correct this? Possibly shimming the left side or something?

cracks are never good
no yer exaust is not suposed to be that low.. check and make sure all the support straps(whatevers) are hooked up
no the gap is not normal.. not gunna kill you but not normal
if it bothers you that much... put a bag of concrete under the passangers side seat...

i wouldnt worry about the tires that much... just make sure you keep them properly inflated and watch those really sharp turns...
as far as the strut... ummm... yeah i guess welding it is better than nothing..

(thats for an 02 sedan.. find yer own car for the right fit)
shock absorber housing... $100 or so... could just replace it

1. Strut bar is useless, because it holds struts tight not meant to hold your engine bay together lol
2. Go to any muffler shop and ask them to shorten the pins that hold your pipe up or your res or cat
3. Tires-wise u can try 215 - wont change much
4. Throw your eibachs out and install Tein S Techs, no tilt on those.
good luck

Damn dude... the crack is bad news- I wouldnt weld it at all, thats like putting salt in the wound. Dunno about the whole strut tower bar idea... I could think of a way you could strengthen that area with some bars, but dont know if that would help you. Your ciivc is like a cancer recoveree... just wont ever be the same.
The tires being eaten up on the sides is normal from aggressive driving such as the track. Remeber when you erased really fast with a cheap pencil and the eraser snapped off- its just like that.
The drivers wheel pointed in like that... what that- Toe? I dont use thoes words too ofen because I dont have any problems- but looks like you do!!
Id suggest selling that for what its worth, or parting it out since it seem kinda unsafe to drive. How much did you get it for... you might be able to get that back in parting it out. I could think of a few parts I could use.
Anyways, If your looking at making that thing brand new, you better be able to open your wallet wider then thoes girls on the park blocks can spread themselves. goodluck
