blended oil

I going to switch to a blended oil first as I've heard that with higher milage some times they leak oil.Question is what milage do you change oil.It doesn't say in the owners manuel. If I get no leaks I'll go fully synthetic. Also if you've gone to full synthetic when do you change oil

Huh? Why would you get ANY more leaks regardless? Just swap it over! You can go 5k-7.5k on Mobil 1 full synthetic. Normal Dino oil is 3k-5k.

Well, if you're worried about synthetics causing leaks, the only way to find out is to use an actual synthetic. Only about 10% of synthetic blends are synthetic, not 50/50 like many would like to think.

In regards to how often you should change your oil, that depends. Most importantly where/how you typically drive. If you do a lot of highway driving, you can run the oil longer than if you do a lot of stop and go city driving.

I've been running full syntheic since 7,500mi and i now have 108,500. I change my oil around every 7,500mi. Although the 2 used oil analyses i've have done indicated i could go even longer, but meh. 7,500mi is long enough for me.

I assume we are talking about a 7th Gen here? ANY 7th Gen should have the most current seals suitable for either as stated in the manual. If they are bad or not is a different question but the oil isn't the key to that.
