cabin air filter....

iwas just wondering which models have the cabin air filter....I have a 2001 sedan DX and dont know if it has one....I dont have the owners manual so I cannot chek there.....thanks for any help...

All civics have cabin filters. Actually I think all newer cars have them.

the filters (you have 2) are located behind the glove box. work out the two stop tabs on the side of the glove box. behind the g box you should then see a thin rectangle cover. they're behind that. just throw away the filters and hang on to the frames cuz you'll put the new filters into those again. for 2 filters, should be from 20-30 bucks.

thanks for the replies, i will chek on that on the weekend, i ask because i heard that the DX didnt have the filters but i quess they have....thanks

it will make more air blow than before cause its less restrictive.

Im gonna look into this too, my car is used and has 70k on it...i looked at the regular air filter a few weeks ago...DIRTY as hell and i just bought it...god knows how long that thing was in there, i changed that, but i bet if they didnt change that before they sold it to me...they probably didnt change the cabin filter lol.

thanks every body for the replies...i chek my cabin air filter this weekend and it was super dirty it had dirt, dust even leaves, jaja....i didnt have money to buy the new ones but I cleaned it with a vacuum cleaner and it did miracles to the air flow of my air conditioner, and very easy to do....thanks
