Clutch Pedal Pop- i know what causes it- need answer.

set: 02 ex. manual (obvioiusly)

Clutch Pedal Pop- i know what causes it- now i need an answer.

When i push in it pops at about half way. When looking at the pedal underneath i noticed that when i hold the main bolt* (for a lack of a better word) that goes into the master cylinder upwards slightly, no noise occurs. The pedal is stiff but the bolt* is loose. i tried applying grease to it but it's not working. i can see that the bolt* can be tightened, but it seems that wouldn't work really as the main/loose part is secured by a jitter pin.
i can't find any answers using the search. if you know it, please paste the link.
thanks.

Take WD 40 and spray that **** into the hole where it goes into the master slave cylinder. Thats what I did to fix mine.

won't WD40 eat away at the rubber o-ring? I was told that lithium grease would be better.
