Headlights out

Well, This morning I got up, cursed the world, fell back asleep, woke up again, gave the world another maybe more proper cursing, then got out of bed.

After all my morning rituals, I got in my car to leave for work. Started the engine, hit the rear defroster, and flicked the lights on. Thats when it happened. Corner lights, check. Parking lights, check. Headlights... WTF? So I turn off the car, turn off the lights, try again. Still no head lights. Hit the high beams, check. Still no low beams. I had to drive 30 miles to work with no headlights.

Anyone know what would render JUST the low beams inoperable?

Let go look at this and try and figure out why your low beams wouldnt work. Isnt there a headlight switch recall? Do you know any friends with a vic? If so swap your lamps into there car (just one) and see if the low beams work.

I don't know anyone around here with an EM2, unfortunantly. Only 'vics around here are older.

Is there a fuse that is JUST for the low beams? Or is it for low and high beams?

Check in the engine bay - No19, No2, No15, No17,

No19 is going to be a big one (80A).

I think its the switch has gone bad but lets not jump to conclusions. Try those first.

I called JC Honda and took the car in, they said it was the headlight relay switch. It was covered by Honda's recall. Good call nj_represent!
