Broken Keyless Entry
My keyless entry has recently stopped working and I was just wondering if any of you guys have had this problem. My car is a 2003 ex and it has like 42k miles. Before I had little bullshit stop working like the tap lights, but now its the keyless entry which I use every damn day. I cant manually lock the car inside, but i can still lock it with the key.

The drivers side door only can be locked from the outside with the key. I cant manually lock the door from the inside. The passenger door can still be opened with the automatic lock switch. And it can be locked manually by a passenger. The keyless buttons dont work at all. When i press the keyless button, you can hear the locking mechanisms in the doors attempting to open, but nothing happens. I think its electrical and since my car just got outta warranty it sucks.
Its probally the actuator to be honest. If you can Hear the doors trying to click open then the electrical is ok. At least to our knoweldge. I think the lock mechanism is hooked directly into the same part for the door latch. So it comes as on piece. PM your email Ill send you the PDF of the electrical schematic for the power locks. Stupid question does your car still beep when the door is open?
I thought I had the diagram. Let me look.

The car door still beeps when the door is open with the keys in the ignition.. I can manually lock the drivers side door when the car is on, but when the car is turned off it wont let me push the lock down.
i am having the same issue. if i wasn't taking a nap inside my car, i would have never noticed it. does anyone have instructions on how to fix this problem? (ie. stripping the driver side door and actually fixing the actuator)

behind the inside door handel theres a lil plate.. pop that off with a screwdriver and remove the two screws
the bottom of the armrest pulls off (use a screwdriver)
theres 2 screws under it.. take those out
where the plastic meets the metal door theres 2-3 clips on each side.. just pry it apart and then lift up gently
reach behind the plastic piece and disconnect the window controls (wires)
cut/peal back the plastic
handaautomotive.com sells keyless kits and has PDF instilation instructions for free on the site.. dont get the kit from them cuz you dont need everything just get the single actuator from yer dealer/ebay/whatever
somewhere theres a more detailed door pannel removal diy but thats the basics
