Knocking noise in suspension

I got some weird knocking noise coming out of my front suspension most noticable when I go over a ripple bump road. I just changed my springs to S-Techs and had HP Blues on them for a year now. I don't think the noise are coming from the struts when I had them out, I think the noise is from some joint that holds the wheel and surroundings together. The noise isn't a big knock like on a door and doesn't sound like metal on metal. Year half ago one of my control arms broke in half and the car collapsed and also took out my driveshaft. Can anyone link the sound to something?

is it possible that it could b a worn bushing due to lowering tha car? i have a 05 civic n i just lowered with eibach sportlines, n it seems to me that tha front lower control arm bushing would b stressed with lowering tha car.

I don't think so, I just lowered it less than a week ago. Had stock on HP before.

I had the same problem wit my 01 EX and I had it brought to the dealer, it turns out that it is a common problem with all Civics. I had to replace my control arms and leaking struts together with the ball joints. I was hearing a loud clunking noise everytime I would go over bumps, and I didn't do anything about it for almost a year! But the noise was getting worst, so I decided to check it out myself and I saw that my left strut was leaking...so I had to get all those parts replaced, BE WARNED AND TELL ALL!

Why does your lower control arm have to get replaced to? Man, everyone needs to start reading. The ball joint can be replaced from the lower control arm seperatly and so can the bushings on the lower control arm. Unless you cracked the actual lower control arm. Bushings can be replaced. Just go inspect your suspension. Seeing that rubber is cracked is not a specialized attribute.
