ok well heres my question and i dont think anyone has asked this at least not that i saw. but i know using you ac will use up gas. and using the fan will not. my question is for we press the ac button. will our cars use up more gas with the fan on high than on low. (this is with the ac on). thanx

speed of fan doesnt matter dude .. its the compressor that results for the more fuel consumption

yea thats what i thought. i thought putting my ac on with the fan on hig is no different than ac on with fan on low. is this right?

the blower draws alot of power too. turn it from lo to high with a volt gauge hooked up and see what happens. if youre not using it, turn it off.

For God's sake... it's a CIVIC!! The gas penalty is so small, just enjoy it.

I seem to get pretty much the same mileage with or without AC blasting on high.
It driving on the freeway with the windows down when mileage drops.

ya but the hp penalty is VERY high. only use it on freeways where you dont need to accelerate. although, if you press the gas hard it turns the compressor off until you slow down.

you know there was one girl i was friends with, i was explaining how having the heat on and driving with windows open cools the engine more. and she was like well if you need to have the heat on we can leave the window down. im thinking oh? what about your hair, and being cold outside, and..well it was pretty unbelieveable. thats a girl who really understands cars. not like my other friends who say unless the ac is on they wont go anywhere with me. i hate ac i cant wait til it breaks lol
