02 Civic Ex Wont start!!

Let me start off by saying, that after I've been reading through this site for the past hour or so. I've realized that my brother and I may have royaly screwed ourselves over when it came to trying to fix this problem. Not too much money was lost cause we have relatives that owns a junkyard. But alot of time could've been saved. Anyway, here is the problem.....

The car is my brother's 2002 Civic EX 5spd.

As we were driving on the highway the other day, while we were taking an exit the car just shut off. Every time we tried to start the car, it would turn on and then immediately shut off. As it shuts off it would backfire as well.

So far We've done the following:

-Changed throttle body
-Fuel pump
-Fuel Rail/injectors
-Engine Harness (one of my vacuum hoses looked like it was chewed by a rat)

We've spent two days on this already and We've spoken with several local mechanics and they have no idea either. They were the ones that suggested to replace the parts I listed above. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is that the Diagnostic Trouble Code? I've read that most people take their vehicles to Autozone to get a free test. But we cant even get the car to move so we havent given that a shot yet, unless we want to tow it there. I'll try to convince my brother to take it there today.

Thanks.

Almost sounds like the timing belt slipped.
