Rolling Back On A Hill

I just got a 2002 automatic Civic, and when I am stopped on a hill, it rolls back when I take my foot off the brake. Im just wondering if this is normal because my 1999 camry did not roll back at all.

I think Hondas tend to roll back a bit more on a hill than other cars. Thats what I noticed at least. Just the way how Honda configures the torque converter i guess.

Not necessary with automatics.

the newer civics have a lower idle so they tend to slide back a bit more than older hondas.

My bro-in-law said his Odyssey rolls back more easily than other cars he drove too.
