Rep Power: 0 Exhaust Manifold... UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok.. so I bought this header... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-02...QQcmdZViewItem
Now I need to know where to get those O2 SIMs for it.. I have done a search and nothing came up.. Also, will eleminating the 2 O2 sensors and the catalytic converter result in lower fuel economy? Thanks

Rep Power: 428 sounds like an exhaust leak caused by the gasket. I would replace the gasket, it isnt very expensive. I believe less then $10 from honda.

Rep Power: 279 its an easy fix. although the same thing happened to me and i did have a crack in the manifold. i only found it after i took the stock manifold off though. luckily i bought a dc header to replace it and also went ahead and did a R/T cat pipe and evo 2 exhaust with it. but the crack was about 1-1.5" long. hopefully that isnt your problem

Rep Power: 228 It's not too tough. To remove the header at the block there's like 5 nuts. I had to use PB Blaster and Bolt-Out tools to get them off. Just remove those and the ones on the heatshield. Then get under the car and remove the two spring bolts. Once this is done you can take the two gaskets(the one on the bottom looks like a donut and the one on the top looks like two pieces of metal) and replace them. make sure you tighten everything back to spec(which I can't remember off the top of my head) and make sure to do the spring bolts equally so it doesn't tighten one side more than the other.
ooooh Also inspect the header when you have it off the car to see if it could be a crack.

Rep Power: 0 Thanks ya'll... I just took the manifold off and there is friggin cracks everywhere.. WTF was Honda thinking! Anyway, looks like I'll be driving my Dodge Neon until it gets fixed, though I'd probably be better off driving my Civ without a manifold..

Eliminating both o2 sensors is not an option. You need the first one. As far as eliminating the rear o2 sensor and the cat, i dont think that will have a negative or positive impact on your mpg.

Re: Exhaust Manifold... UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't remove your catalytic converter. It has a huge purpose. "A catalytic converter is an emission-control product that cleans up a gasoline-powered engine's exhaust. Exhaust gases leave the engine and pass through one or more catalytic converters where unburned hydrocarbons and other byproducts of the combustion process are converted into less harmful emissions." quoted from Honda catalytic converter
that's the main reason why you should keep your cat.
