Name That Part!?!?!
Hi everyone! Looking for some help(as usual)...all I need to know is the name of a part...
What is the part that is directly behind the REAR wheel hub, that connects to the suspension arms and rods??? It has 3 bolts that connects it to the rest of the suspension...it's a weird shaped steel piece...it connects with one bolt to the top of the tie rod and then there are 2 bolts that connect it to the bottom arm...
??????I feel embarassed to ask what it is, but I don't know and I'm sure you do???????
Anyone ever replace it?
How hard is it to replace?
Anyway, the reason I need to know the name of this item is because it's bent...yeah, this thick piece of steel bent on the top...now it didn't bend from natural causes...I am a fan of drifting...front wheel drive drifting!...I had an old '96 hatchback that I would drift with back east...I entered it in 3 competitions just to have fun with, and boy was it fun! But I digress, back to the 2001 Civic...it was wet out, at night, and local neighborhood needed some terrorizing!!! So after hitting about 7 turns I screwed up and my *** end swung out too far and smacked sideways into a curb...it caught my left rear wheel...chipped the rim and bent this part...
Thank you for your time!
