i got the 2k2 si coupe. when i take the keys out of the ignition and about to leave the car sometimes starts to sound like an alarm system. i don't even have an alarm system. everything is bone stock in my car. i think its the radio autotheft. it just goes beeeeeeep, beeeeeeep.... til i press one of the buttons on my keychain. it just happens randomly or something. even when i'm driving the van and i park next to the civic it starts to go off sometimes. why da hell does it do this?

besides that and skidding brakes (probably tires) when hard breaking that is the only complaint i have. but that will be another thread.

If u have keyless entry then it could be that u press the panic button when u take out the keys. Ive done that a couple of times [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/IMG] but i dont know why it goes off when u park next to it.

hmmm...... so it's not the beeping sound that goes off to tell you to turn off your headlights or anything??

no its not the sound of warning headlights are left on, it sounds like if i pressed the panic button. but i don't press it and even if i did its not hard enough to set it off because the button is pretty small and not stuck out of the keychain. i definately know i don't press it when i don't drive it and the key is close to the car and it goes off. damn annoying, especially late at night snooking in.

i would know if i was pressing and HOLDING the lock button, i ain't stupid. even if i was holding the lock button it won't horn like panic. i just tapping the panic today and that's not the prob, u have to hold the panic for a few seconds to sound and i know i can't accidently hit it for that long.
