Ice trick for dents
Can someone post the ice cube and hair dryer trick for removing dents? I saw it on here long ago but the thread is dead, it's so old. Simple DIY would be nice

never heard of using that to pull out dents but heat does expand things and cold does the oppistie so if u could get the heat high engough you could in theroy manipulate the metal
My roomate said something about using dry ice to get dents out, but I have no idea, and I would hate to hear about paint cracking because of extreme cold and heat contracting and expanding the paint.
If its small look into a paintless dent removal service. When you pick one out find out what dealerships they work for. I would trust a company with my car if a Porche dealer would. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help guys but I remember someone posted a DIY type thread with dry ice and a blow dryer. Sounds kind of simple so i might try the dry ice on an unseen piece of painted metal and make sure it doesn't screw it up. Then I will attempt on the dent. Have to find some dry ice now...

-Get some dry ice
-Lipstick
-Preferably a VERY HOT DAY (might work with a heat gun)
The paint has to be VERY HOT, put some lipstick on the dent, take some tongs or whatever you wanna hold the Dry Ice with, and hold it right above the dent, don't touch it to the metal, but get as close as you can to the metal, (I heard use circular motions, but i dunno about that), it might take a few trys but should pop out

Thanks for the info hefe, I'll try it sometime, and marker... I used to live in Bellevue Neb when my dad worked at the air force base, small world
The house behind the 4th pic in your member rides page is identical to my old house when I was 10 yrs old
you can also use plain old ice....the reason for the lipstick is so u wont loose site of the dent, as it starts to pop back out...
heat up the metal real good w/ a heat gun or hair dryer then rub ice around the lipstick,,,this works, just a little time consuming. it also helps to do it on a hot day.

you can you compressed air ....as your dry ice..............you know those air duster thingies.........when you turn the can upside down ...a cold *** watery stuff comes out and turns into ice..............works better than ice........or dry ice
<< oh crap i have one of those! so when you turn the can upside-down, do you spray it? or rub the can around the dent? >>
Spray it, it is compressed gas in liquid form. Be very careful with this stuff around plastic though, it will shatter plastic (makes little cracks). It also has the potential to shatter glass if used incorrectly, so be careful.
