Spark Plug Help!!!!!

IMy car was feeling really wear at low revs. Checked the plugs, time for some new ones. I put the old plugs back in, went to autozone and bought some plugs, get home try to take the plugs out and my soclet wont even go on the plugs. Its like there is something that is stopping the socket form going all the way down. Did i royally **** up?? Do i need a longer socket to take the plugs out, or do i need to get someone to fix it for me. THis really pisses me off cuz i've changed sparks plugs many times, and i ****ed up my car doing something so easy.

did the little boot (from the inside of the spark plug socket) get lodged down in there? it's a slim possibility......
btw it's a 5/8 deep socket, you would maybe want like at least a 6-10" extension for good leverage.....and if ya don't have a torque bar when they start to get tight (can't turn the ratchet anymore) use your palm and tap it a little farther like once or twice...to ensure its a snug, but not too snug fit....

RE: PLugs

For your plug problem, theres nothing like OEM they may be a little more, but will last longer any are usually better suited for the engine. A colder plug might give you better pick up. but you'll be doing them every month. Auozone stuff works but its not the best.

cheers

Whats wrong with picking up a set of Bosch, Denso or NGK plugs from autozone?
How's that any different from buying the same NGK plug with an H on it for 3 times the price?

Moving along... did the whole coil come out? or did the coil break inside the sleeve?
Is the O ring that should be in the socket still in the socket, and are you turning the socket as you try to run it down there? You may just be missing the hex and its not falling into place.
You also shouldn't need a breaker bar to get plugs out. IIRC its 13 lb ft.
