Winding noise ???

Unhappy Winding noise ???
I'm driving around 35-40 mph when ever I decided to down shift to 2nd gear and press the clutch and then insert 2nd gear in place i hear a low winding noise only on this gear. What could this be? Any of you guys out there experienced this as well?
