o2 sensor issues
o2 sensor issues
I just threw my stock cat back on (a brand new one) because those cheap resonator cats were not dropping the check engine light. With the correct cat on and my check engine light still on do i need to reset the ECU for it to go off? is the check engine light causing the oil to burn rich or the signal going to the computer?

once the check engine light comes on, it needs to be reset if the problem has been fixed. So either pull the ECU fuse or disconnect the negative cable on the battery. And there is no such thing as the oil burning rich.

Well it stayed off for about 5 hours
and the light came back on - when I was coming to work today - When I put the new universal honda sensor on one of the colors did not match. I was worried about that. It was a denso sensor...you think because I have an SI I can't use a univeral sensor? I thought those things were all really similar...
