Clicking noise when first turning on the car

Rep Power: 269 Clicking noise when first turning on the car
The car is a 02 Mustang and when it is turned on it starts making a clicking noise for awhile and once it sits for a minute the clicking noise goes off what could this be from? Thanks

Back to the problem i would try checking the startor and electrical connections

Rep Power: 428 can you tell where the clicking is coming from? First thing that comes to mind is possibly valves out of adjustment or the lifters are making noise. Does it go away after the engine warms up?
