Rep Power: 248 My ******* civic turns off by itself!!..
Ok I just started driving my civic again after being in the shop for the past 3 months..I've been noticing that when I come to a red light the car's idle drops to about 100-200 rpms and feels like it's about to stall..then when I take off and get to 5th gear, the car completely turns off then turns back on..I don't know what the hell is wrong with it, I checked everything and still can't find whats wrong with it....Just to let you guys know this only happens when I'm in 5th gear.
Does anybody else have this problem??..This is gettin annoying and I am just about to swap in my k20a2 motor that I have in my garage..

Rep Power: 788 idle relearn. drive car to full warm, turn off, disconnect battery or pull out FI ECU fuse, put back, restart car, let idle in neutral for 10 mins without pressing gas or using accessories, turn off car, turn on and go drive. problem solved hopefully.

Rep Power: 788 ya that always needs to be done if the shop took out the battery. the idle will be messed up otherwise especially if you install mods. you gotta reset it each time and relearn the idle.

Rep Power: 788 if that doesn't work then its something else but you could also try raising the idle with the adjustment screw. the reason it shuts off is the rpm gets too low. could also be a vacuum leak.
