02 civic strut bearing in a 01

02 civic strut bearing in a 01 Does anybody know if the strut bearing for the 02 civic fit on the 01 civic?
I have to replace the strut bearing (driver side, 01 civic LX) and I am thinking on installing the bearing for the 02 civic instead of the one that is for the 01; beacause the 01 strut bearing is a plastic part and the 02 is a ball bearing assembly.
A ball bearing assembly (in metal "case") is better than a plastic and its do less friction than a plastic bearing.
I am asking if I can install these bearing without any changes on the strut mounts, spring seats, etc.
Please reply someone who really knows...

I know if I replace one side with 02 civic bearing, I should replace the other with the same part.

Do both of them. I'm sure you don't have to, but it'll feel better if they're both even. I think you need the whole upper seat to do it. the 02 bearing is dimensionally different all together.
