Piece out.

Nasty to say the least the burn from an air bag I have on my arm is still there, almost third degree burns when I went to the Hospital. Not a pretty site but hey they saved my life, so a scar on the arm is better then death any day.

Okay I had an experience in my 2002 Lx. It was about 2 months old and I was driving along doing about 70 km/h (44 miles/hr) and some lady in a 91 civic heading in the oppose direction to me was not paying attention and turned in front of me. There was four of us in my vehicle at the time. My air bag did not go off but my g/f's in the passenger did go off. The reason her's did go off and mine didn't is because stupid her was not wearing her seatbelt at the time. We still thought it was a little screwed up that mine didn't go off. The total damages was about $17,000 Cdn so it was a total right off. We got a hold of Honda Canada and they flew two engineers from their down to where I live to take a look at my car. We had sent them pictures earlier and they decided that it was serious enough to check it out. They came down and we watched as they went through my car. They concluded that the accident was not severe enough for it to go off. I really didn't fill like siting their and debating all day about whether it was severe enough or not. Later if anyone is interested I will post some pictures of my car and the car that I hit.

2cute - What you said about the sensors is wrong because my sensor was totally mashed to crap and it still didn't go off.

For injuries the only thing was some major wipelash which caused some back pains later on. Oh and a bump on my head courtesy of my g/f elbow which I don't remember happening and didn't notice the bump till the next day while washing my hair

My 02 EX was totaled Memorial weekend, I was hit on the left front and spun 1 and a half times. My air bags didn't deploy, but even if they did it wouldn't have helped me any, side airbags may have helped but I still have no memeory of the crash and got a nice concussion out of it.

i totaled my 2k1 a little less than a year ago by hitting a power pole head on, however, the pole gave and broke in two, and the car kept going. Therefore, because there wasn't a sudden stop the airbags didn't go off, and im sure as heck glad they didn't.
