someone posted bout somethin and it reminded me of this. Its happened just 2 times since April of 2001 when i bought the car. Ill be driving and i dunno what i do, or if im turning but the car would "lockup" like the stearing wheel would lock, all lights would come on in the dash and the car would start to slow down. Now when it did it the first time i pulled over and it restarted perfectly. The 2nd time it did it i was in 4th and as watched the speed drop i just threw it into 3rd, The car caught and i zoomed off like nothing had happened...was totally weird. I wanna say Honda was telling me some safety feature on the car but then again i could have dreamt that haha. Wondering what u peeps think on this one. BTW the model is an EX

do you have any kind of alarm installed? if you do it could be malfunctioning

if theres no alarm, or an oem alarm, definitely go back to the dealer for that, if they cant find anything wrong, go to american honda and the NHTSA, thats a problem that could cause an accident, so dont take the no problem found BS from them. if they wont do anything, call american honda and be sure to mention the huge lawsuit that would occur if the problem the dealer claimed didnt exist caused an accident
