Light dimming while driving

Hi everyone

I have a problem with my light. while I am driving on the highway....my headlight start to dim (almost till you can't see nothing) for 5 - 10 sec and It will come back up again....not consistant everytime but it is a recurrent problem...any suggestion would be helpful...dealship has been contacted and they check and said nothing wrong with it.....so I am stuck with this problem....please help.

have you done an alternator/battery charging system test? most auto stores do it free. but it sounds like a problem with the wiring. if the alt wasn't working, the headlights would feed off the battery 12v and still be bright.

What Year ? Is it just the low beams ?, Have the high beams ever done it ? Do the interior dash lamps dim also ?? How about the wiper and/or the blower fan motors, do they slow down ??

Yes, year is important. A lot of 01's fried the low beam headlight switch. Although I think it may have happened to the newer ones here and there as well. If only your headlights are affected, and they are STOCK, Honda should have no problem doing the light switch TSB for free,

Hi everyone...thank you for the reply. Acutally I am asking this for a friend. She drive a 2002 civic sedan. everything dim while driving headlights, interior dash lamps......and she went to honda dealership and those guys think everything is fine.....she got 60000 km on her car
