rattling noise when accelerating

well after i got my rsr ex mag exhaust and random tech cat on a while back i would always here a rattling noise, like a bolt is rattling kinda noise, from the front of the car so i decided to check the bolts and every one of em are completely tightened down or tightened enough that they shouldnt rattle. i seriously dont know where this rattling is comin from and it really only does it when under wot or accelerating. it comes from the front of the car like it could be the heatshield on the header or im just missing something...any ideas guys and solutions?

sounds like your heat shield is loose or making contact with something

i might just pull it off tommorrow morning before i head off to work to see if that works. is there anything that i need to do as i pull off the heatshield? cause when i looked at it there were couple bolts that looked like it held the shield and header on.

its prolly the exhaust hitting the rear sway bar. i have rsr and no rattles. but it could be the cat making the downpipe touch the car.

i doubt its the exhaust hitting the sway bar cause i hear it from the front and it is like a bolt rattling sound. i noe the downpipe is making the cat touch the car cause it def rattles and makes alot of vibrations right at the shifter. its more of a suttle sound but you can still hear it like its almost like its the bolts at the header-downpipe. i tightened down the bolts there like crazy so its def not those. im gonna try tightening the heatshield and if that works it was it if not idk

I have the same problem too after I lifted my car for the winter but mine sort of sounds like a plastic card being held next to spokes on a bycicle and rode on

You shouldnt remove the heat shield, it could cause your car to heat up (and burn your passengers asses lol)
