Unhappy Parking Brake Light always on...

About two years ago I had a clifford alarm with auto start installed on my 2000 Honda Civic Si. Ever since then the parking brake light has been dimly light all the time, and then when I hit the brake it comes up brighter and stays that way. The dealership said that the alarm was causing this. I was wondering if there is anyway to just disable the light completely, or possibly fix this. After two years of driving the red light has burned a hole in my retna, and now everyone I see has a red dot on their head.

Thanks for any help in advance.

I don't understand why you didn't get it fixed or looked at right away. The alarm installer should guarantee their work. If it was a Clifford authorized dealer, they should warrant their parts and labour for life. Sounds like some serious electrical problems going on here so there's no easy way to tell you what happened to cause this.

Dealer went out of business two weeks later.

I was going to go back, however the business went bankrupt. When I was getting it installed they were packing stuff up and told me they were moving to a new location, but later found out they were done.

Regretfully I cannot fix that, so here I am stuck with this problem. If I could go back I would and thus would not have to deal with it now.

You need to find out if they were a Clifford Authorized dealer. If so, any other Clifford Authorized dealer should be able to help you under the warranty terms as long as you have an invoice.
