ok, here i go. took the car to the dealer today because i heard a knocking noise when i took off. Its only when i accelerate in 1st and 2nd gear. Sounds like a tapping noise but its not coming from the motor. Dealer says that i someone may have put gear lube in my tranny, (because the right axle was replaced) and that may have eaten away at my bearings. Today i told them to change the fluid in the tranny, and now it sounds a little louder. Has anyone ever heard of this bs? if its true i might need a new transmission. would anybody here have one up for sale? I dont know what to do at this point besides sell the car.
