weird shaking or idle...overheating too!!!!

just curious, can a bad transmission cause overheating and wierd shaking when at a stop? I haven't changed my trans oil for 109,000 miles and my third gear grinds a lot....too busy with kids and work to do maintenance. does anyone think if i were to change my transmission all together and get a new one would help with my problems?

could be that you need your clutch replaced if that hasnt been done yet

ya my car shakes too and only has 44k miles. its due to the pos tranny honda uses.

Wait a sec.... shaking and overheating sounds like a head gasket leak, not a transmission. And a 5 speed won't have any effect on the engine. An Auto might, yes.
