Ame Short Ram Caused Check Engine
Ame Short Ram Caused Check Engine
Hi, i just installed my aem short ram intake and when i first fired the car up the check engine light came on. I shut the car off, diconnected the battery and started it up again and the light was gone. Is this normal? Everything is connected properly including the iat sensor. Any thoughts on when might have caused this? Could it be that the first time the engine just sensed too much air and wasnt used to it? It's off now but just wondering if anyone else had this problem ever. Thanks

you were supposed to disconnect the battery when you were installing the intake anyway. but yes, your car is fine. before you do any more performance stuff, disconnect the battery so it can re-learn the fuel paremeters agian
