RPM jumping from 4-1000 wile driving

RPM jumping from 4-1000 wile driving
Ok on the way home i notice that wile i was driving the rpm nedle was jumping fom the 4 to the 1000 mark. there was nodifference on the idle of the car and the car was running normal. WHen i accelerated it would stop but when staying at a steady speed it would bounce up and down. does any one know what can cause this? i looked to see if there was a loose ground wire around the engine bay but i found nothing.

its just a glitch. if it happens constantly, you should swap out the cluster.
