Drum Brakes water noise?

2003 civic ex only 21,000 miles
It was making noise everytime i stop like water was gushing in the tailpipe or something, but then took it to dealer and they said drum brakes need to be adjusted. Did it and it came back few days later. Brought it back again 3 times aready for adjustment but it still makes noise. What could be the problem that the dealer isnt fixing? Have an old civic also w/ drum brakes and it makes no noise

are you sure the noise is coming from the brakes? I have never heard of brakes making a noise like water moving around. But yea the rear brakes shouldnt have to be adjusted that many times in a short period of time unless something is wrong back there.

nah its the drum brakes for sure. sounds kinda like training wheels maybe?? Dealer kept saying its brake dust. And once said they were going to redo the surface but i had to cancel bc i was busy. then came back couple weeks later they tried to say its normal and they cant really do anything about it and if they clean it again it'll just come back. Then I told them they told me they were going to resurface it last time but i missed it and they said they will try, and kept the car overnight. I looked at the service paper and all it said was clean and adjust like the others. idk any ideas what is wrong with the brakes so i can tell them to fix it??

Well if the noise is coming from the rear, then pull apart both sides and check everything. Make sure you still have proper shoe life left. Make sure the drum isnt below specs or has any cracks or anything. Make sure that the shoes are wearing evenly, you may have a failed wheel cylinder or one that is sticking causing the shoes to drag. Without looking at them or hearing them, it is really hard to tell you exactly what is wrong. Its really up to you to check them. Otherwise, take it into a brake specialist or a shop that specializes in brakes, alot of them do free brake inspections.
