why does this keep happening?
The car feels different every day. And I mean COMPLETELY different. Yesterday for example, the car was very peppy. I would touch the gas and it would jump forward and keep pulling. Nice and smooth, not alot of noise. Now tonight again, same time and similar temp conditions and the car feels like a dog. I press the gas and it feels like my throttle cable has 2 inches of slack in it, I have to press the gas harder and still doesn't accelerate very fast. I know temp and humidity matter but is it really that much? Feels like I'm driving a different car. Also today the stock exhaust was pretty loud sounding compared to usual. I mean what would cause this if the car stays the same, or does it?

no its not the gas, I get good gas from mobil same station and it was the same both times and I use additives to make it better.

its like asking why do i get only certain gas milage right now i look at my tank i have gone 180 miles and have only about a quarter or so less, where sometimes it seems like i go 200 and half have a tank left, , but maybe its time to put cleaner as well as additives
My SL65 rim, because a rim is all I can afford

Humidity plays a huge effect, particuarly if you have a CAI. The bypass valve only helps a little, but is really designed for liquid water, not water vapor.
Once water gets in the cylinder (vapor form included) it can inhibit the reaction, which will then make the ECU freak out and put your engine on "safety mode" (the ecu just backs off the timing a little. High humidty can also have an adverse effect on your sensors, like the thermocouple and particuarly the mass flow sensor (the mass flow sensor is the biggie).

ah because its really humid here all the time except a couple off days. Usually 50-100% but closer to 80 average. In the winter there's so much of a difference its almost like i'm boosted. I guess lower temps, and low humidity so its just the opposite.
