Metallic Chain Sound
Alright, I'm getting nervous. This just started about 2 days ago. When I get on my car hard, after I pass 40 mph (SOMETIMES) I get this sound that sounds like I have chains dragging underneath my car. It's not comming from the engine bay I believe, and ut wont happen when I gradually get above 40 (normal driving). I'm getting kinda worried. It dosent ALWAYS happen but it does enough and it's loud enough to annoy me =*( What do you thinks up

I have a similar problem:
When I accelerate hard, I get a metal sounding vibration from somewhere under the left side of the dash. It only vibrates above 5-6k rpm's. It didn't happen when the stock intake was on. Only started after I put on an aftermarket intake. YES, I did install it correctly. (I've had a generic short ram, AEM cai, AEM V2, and now I have a FIPK2) I also have a Neuspeed upper strut tie bar and I had to relocate the clutch fluid resevoir to a lower position. Nothing seems to be lose.
Anyone else have this type of problem?

Sorry man, I got one of my own also. My happens when i apply a small amout of gas when i am in gear. It's happened on two of my cars now. I saw a mechanic and they said it was the intake or the exhaust rattling a heat shield.

I thought if I described a similar situation, we all could try to determine a cause and remedy the problem. Not trying to hijack your thread.
Maybe I should ask if I need a camber kit or which headlight bulbs I need?

Heh, Well I check my engine bay today, notihng looked loos. I adjusted my SRI alittle, we'll see if it helps. I'm really worried it's something in the suspension
I've noticed that too but It's only at redline after 70mph or so. You might want to check your O2 sensors though. I had one come loose by the cat and it sounded like a loud clanking sound coming from under the car.

I've got at least another 2 and 1/2 years out here with the option to stay another year past that. But I'll probably fly back to Brevard this winter to get some vacation time. How's Hector's turbo doing?

Well, the sounsd getting worse and worse and happening more often. I'm thinking maybe it IS the brakes, but while I'm driving and not using them it still makes the noise. Oh well Friday I'm going to Honda about it.
I have the same problem, when i hit bumps at high speeds or sometimes turn at low speeds i hear it. Its annoying as hell. Its from the front somewhere, and when I brake it will stop. The only mods to my car would be wheels, konis, and eibach springs. The only thing I've had done to my car recently would be alignment and my wheels put on. Let me know if you guys find out what it is or have suggestions
