Any advise anybody, check light on lumpy idle

I currently have Honda stumped, i recently broke my cam belt ...ouch ,and had the head overhauld and the car drove fine.. but when i got it back the check light was on and honda said it was the tps , i reset the ecu and all was well , two weeks later i get ecu light on again!! also redline at 4000rpm?so i guess its the tps again so i get hold of another throttle body , put it on and still the same light on. after brousing this forum i found someone had similar symptoms and found a loose bolt under their rocker cover ,stopping vtec working, worth a try i thought, and sure enough there it was a bolt bloking the vtec solenoid,,, fixed.
But i still have a lumpy idle and its much worse when i start the car from cold , i get a flashing ecu light until the engine warms slightly then it goes out, and the idle blips between 1500 and 2000 rpm when i pull up and put the cluch in???????????? other than that the car runs ok. honda have read the codes and its 'misfire on cyl 4' they asure me they have checked out all the electronics ,and their next step would be to check the head internaly ( they have done a compression test an it checked out ok )
but as they knew as i had the head refurbed (new valves all round )
they didnt want to go inside . stick with me, nearly there!
so i take the car back to the shop that did the head an they say its got to be a sensor or something because the compresion is ok. i have herd the ecu on the 2001 was not so good .. any ideas any one ??????

take it to a better honda. Sounds like the honda you took it too has sucky *** technicians. If you have a misfire in one of the cylinders, check the spark plugs and see if there is a spark. If there is, then check the coils. If honda said it is misfiring, tell them to fix it. They are the ones who did the head work, and now it is messing up, make them fix it or bitch at them.

But I just think you need to go to a different honda, then if they fid the problem and it has to do with the work the old honda did, then make them eat the bill.

Just cause you moved it around and nothing changed doesnt mean its still good. You need to TEST it. Check and see if you have spark.

dariusld is an unknown quantity at this point
Does it sound like you got a mean cam in there? All your friends probably think it sounds bad azz, like a big block. It sounds like a bent valve or one of the valves not seating properly, from when the belt broke. I know you said it was fixed, but....
